Biography
Ira Winkler, CISSP has been called a Modern Day James Bond, Internet Sage, Security Guru, and has been named as one of the 21 most influential professionals in the Information Security field. He earned his reputation by originally working at the National Security Agency, and then using his skills in the commercial sector to steal billions of dollars, at the request of his victims of course.
Mr. Winkler is President of the Internet Security Advisors Group, and has consulted to some of the largest companies in the world. He is author of the book, Corporate Espionage, and the best-selling, Through the Eyes of the Enemy. He has appeared on a variety of national television shows including, Today, Good Morning America, Moneyline, and ABC World News. He has been featured on TV in Japan, Brazil and Germany, and in a variety of publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, USA Today, and Forbes. He has also taught for Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland.
Previously, Mr. Winkler was with the National Security Agency and was the Director of Technology with the National Computer Security Association. He has performed studies on Information Warfare for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and is also on a pseudo-advisory group to the National Infrastructure Protection Center.
